Flights

The closest airport to Eureka is in Arcata (ACV).  It is about a 20 minute drive from there to the Red Lion Hotel. 

Red Lion has a limited seating shuttle service called Door To Door Shuttle (no website). You must reserve by calling in August:
707-839-4186.  The Van holds up to 6 people.

Car Rental (National & Enterprise) may be limited availability so reserve early.

Flights to the Arcata airport are limited, so check availability and book early.

By Car

It is a 5 hour drive from the San Francisco Airport to Eureka, via Highway 101, but one should allow for 6 hours with rest stops and traffic.

It is a 5 hour drive from Sacramento, via Highway 5, then 20, then 101. 

It is a 3 1/2 hour drive from the Redding Airport, via Highway 299 (Hwy 36 is not recommended unless you like twisty roads).
